Simply pointing a camera at a subject is a long way from ensuring a good photograph and it's certainly no way to guarantee a great headshot - particularly an actor's headshot.
That's because actors have a demanding set of requirements for their headshots. They have to look great obviously! But the images also have to meet the technical demands of casting directors and managers and yet still standout to promote their subject.
Apart from the technical stuff, headshot photography requires a strong connection and understanding between the photographer and subject. Together we figure out what the photographs have to achieve along with some ideas on how to make that happen.
